Music Therapy

Empowering emotional expression through music and conversation

About Southend Music Therapy

At Southend Music Therapy, we believe in the power of music to support emotional wellbeing, connection, and growth. Music offers a unique way to express feelings that can be hard to put into words, and our sessions create a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals can explore, communicate and express themselves through sound.

Run by HCPC registered Music Therapist Dan Mays he has worked alongside children, young people, and adults across a wide range of needs including autism, ADHD, PMLD, trauma, loss, anxiety, stress and addictions.

Whether it’s through listening, improvising, songwriting, or simply sharing music, our approach is always person-centred and tailored to each individual.

Based in Southend-on-Sea, we are committed to making music therapy accessible to the local community. Our goal is to use music as a tool for connection, empowerment, and change, helping people find their voice and supporting them.
